Hello all.
At the request of a friend I work with, I was given the idea to post here. I'm getting into the pistol games and have gotten out my old Series 70 Gold Cup 1911 and, I've started reloading for it again and, I'm about to start the IDPA and IPSC competitions. I have one small problem though. I've got a millet dual crimped front sight that I need crimped on... the problem is that I don't happen to have a crimping tool to do this and, they're expensive. This should be a 10 minute fix with the correct crimping tool but, everywhere I call has a 3-4 week wait before my pistol will even get put on the bench. Is anyone here a gunsmith with a millet style crimp tool that can attach my sight to the slide? I'll have the pistol apart and the sight in hand if anyone can spend a few minutes with it, I'd REALLY appreciate it. ––Joe |

Thank you, Sir. I'll check.
This is a nice place you all have here. Looks like LOTs of members. I don't have an AR-15 but, I do have an M1A SuperMatch that I used to shoot the National Match Course with as a Jr. shooter. ( I'm 44yrs old now ) It's seen a lot of shooting and, it's even been to Camp Perry! LOL That was a long time ago though. |

I'm in Richardson but, I can drive most places.
I just called Gene Williams and, I didn't get him but, I believe I got his wife. She was VERY nice and, she said that Gene was gunsmithing for the Collin County IDPA folks. She gave me his cell phone but, he's busy today so, I'll call him tomorrow. Sounds like they're both very active in the sport that I'm just about to get started with and, they're a pretty close drive too. ( about 25mi from me ) Just got the name from the resouces listed here. Great site you all have here for sure!!! |

The guy at gun masters in plano is good as well. He is usually backed up, but the few times I have had something simple, he says to just bring it by. Call first, as he is not always in the shop. He isn't taking any new business right now. Yeah, gunmaster is on my way home. I asked them about some other work I needed done a while back and, that's what I was told too. |
