| I don't know if any of you are familiar with these guys but they are great. I just picked up 2 cases of Hornaday .223 for $320. They have a really nice shop. I am going to be getting a PTR 91 from them very soon since I can't get someone to sell me his 93. |

He has a pretty decent selection of black rifles, handguns, shotguns. It's a new store and he says he'll have more stuff in the future. |

Link? Google is your friend... http://www.austingunliquidators.com/ I stopped by to check it out today and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by name... turns out the owner, Scott Smith used to work at Red's North. They definitely had a decent selection of black rifles and handguns as well as scopes, knives, etc. I'll be back for sure... |

Yes, I know that, but I've never been a customer of that store. I got the impression from people I'd talked to that they would not allow anyone who wasn't current/former LEO or military in the place. |

GT's will let anyone in the store. You just have to buzz in.
You need credentials to buy certain things (new pistols, certain ammo, gas, etc). Lots of cool stuff to look through for everyone. They had a cool blowout sale across the parking lot every now and then. Jess |
| Bumping this, Scott seems to be a real good guy so I hope he get's some business from those here. He needs to advertise some more methinks. His shop is in a commercial district where most buildings look the same besides a "Guns" sign on the front. Take the Grand Avenue exit and go on the northbound service road. Picadilly is the exit right after RDO equipment. 1/4 mile or so on the left. |

The word I got from them was that they don't advertise, but are willing to sell to anyone who can find the store. Well, some of their firearms ARE LE only. This is due to the manufacturers, and the price they sell at. Since they are "LE only" Glock, S&W, and the others sell to them at a lower price than they do a place like McBrides, so you can find some great deals at GTs. But they need to show the manufacturers that they are not just selling to the open public and pocketing the difference, so they have to show something to show that they are restricting sales somehow. That being said, I get the LE discount, and I am EMS. Fire is good too, as are Commisioned Security. Military and LE go without saying. |

Not to hijack, but I bought lots of stuff from GT's; their restriction on certian ammo is from the manufactures, not them. You can buy most of their used pistols (LE trade-ins) but they save certian ones for current LEO's to buy (for dirt cheap prices!!)
I know anyone can get Bushmasters, those AUG clones (MSTR?) and alot of other guns. I bought some 20 round AR mags for $12 in Dec. They cater to LEO agencies & individuals, but alot of the stuff they carry you can't find anywhere else locally (without Internet/mail order) That's what's great about them, you can do a hands-on evaul. of the stuff & their prices are just about what you'd pay online. Lots of Blackhawk, 5.11, Bianchi & the usual suspects in tac. gear. Need to go check out the new kid on the block. |

No that I'm arguing with you, and you may be talking about different ammo than Fed LE shotgun stuff, but... A few days after I spoke with GT Dist, I purchased the ammo I wanted at ammunitiontogo. They told me Federal had no such restriction of sales. I don't know... What I do know is that I got what I wanted, and didn't appear to break any laws. |

Word of mouth (and I am not telling my source) has been hinting that the powers that be at GTs is getting nervous about the ammunition, and is planning to be actual and real LE only. I am not sure why that is. But the Manufacturer restriction holds for some of the firearms. That is why GTs prices are so much better than nearly everyone else around. I mean, you look around and tell me where you can find a S&W M&P, with night sights and 3 magazines for $431.00. |
