We lost 99% of the republican judges. Some needed to go, but we lost the good ones.
One democrat who lost was Ashish Mahendru, an Indian. Extremely qualified, but didn't get the bench. Kept Ed Emmet. Lost the Distict Clerk's office - can't figure that out. Kept the DA's office. I don't understqand how a douchebag like Bradford can keep popping up like a turd that won't flush. Hell, how could he be the DA when he hasn't even tried a jury case? |

Lost the sheriff, but he wouldn't sign off on NFA gear so screw him anyway. Lost the County attorney's office. Any word on the new sheriff and NFA? Hope you get one that does sign off.... Brian Just get a trust and bypass all the sign off nonsense. |

Maybe that red I'm seeing up here is not my rose colored sunglasses. We got 2 new republican county officials in this election. The new county attorney is a republican and the new sheriff will be a republican.
Liberty county voters voted almost 3:1 against Obama. Link |

I met our new district Clerk . . . Loren Jackson today at a democratic lawyer's function. Ate with a couple of the new judges.
Loren and I chatted breifly where I mentioned that I was the token republican, mentioned gun rights. Loren immediately responded that he has a CHL. |

Lampsons voting record was inline with keeping him elected, not because he actually believes in gun rights.
The NRA gave him an A+ because of his voting record. Pete Olson does not have a voting record so the NRA could not give him a rating. I think in the next 2 years Pete Olson will earn his A+ rating as long as he votes against the upcoming "gun show loophole" bill that threatens our right to face to face sales of our property. |

As far as the election goes, the numbers were on par with the 2004 elections believe it or not.
The difference is that Republicans stayed home rather than cast a vote for McCain. This was reflected in the exit polls. Some very Republican districts had very low turnout. Demoncrats got out the vote because they had a candidate to vote for. All Republicans had was a candidate to vote against. The Republican party has failed to learn that if you stray from conservative principals and ideals you will disillusion the voters. In 1994, the Republican party presented the the voter a reason to vote for them, the Contract with America. They won because voters had a reason to vote for them. Obama won because the demoncrats convinced voters that he was all about needed change. The voting public didn't care what the change was. I think most people want government to leave them alone. It's too bad both parties fail to appeal to those voters. If you wonder why Ron Paul had so much appeal, the aforementioned is the reason. |

And this suprises ya with all the illegals and folks around town lookin for a handout? Some people can't wait for this state to become a welfare state, worse than it already is. Oh well at least now we'll be able to wait to catch the dems ass in a crack and pounce on that instead of the repubs. |

Pete Olson spoke at the Houston Gun Collectors Assn. meeting last month. He is life member NRA, Navy Pilot, pheasant hunter, etc. He didnt just join the NRA when he decided to run for office either. He went to high school in Clear lake so he is legit ("le what?, le why...") for Dist 22 unlike that Democrap carpet bagger Lampson. editorial on -The gun show loop hole thing is gonna be a bad deal if it passes. Who wants to bet that "instant checks" revert to being "collected" again under Hussein's rule. Can you imagine no private sales with out involving the man and some type of exhorbitant transfer tax!
