| I have a CHL and am about to get a job at one of the attorney general's child support division offices. Is it illegal for me to carry while in the office? There are no signs posted so I am unsure. |
Is there a court or office utilized by the court in the building? That is the only restriction I could think of that might apply. However, check your employee handbook/rules manual or whatever. The AG may not allow employees to carry, and you could be terminated. There is a way to find all of the restricted places. Google "Texas Legislature". Then click on the web page. Click on "statutes". Click on "Penal Code" Read sections 46.03, and 46.035. Then bookmark the Legislature main page for future reference. |
2nd best advice you've ever gotten! 1st would be make it a hobby to study Texas law, at least the penal code, and everything in the CHL handbook. |
