With the lack of convenient long range rifle ranges in the area and the increase in ammo prices this seams like a natural progression. It would be a good chance to ring out my Savage Mk II. Anyone interested. I am sure we could find a place. Maybe elm fork could accommodate us. If only about 5 people we can do it at Dallas pistol club 100 yard range. I'm in ..........BIG TIME!!!! I just purchased a Savage Mark II-FV and a new 3-9x40 scope............cant wait to finish it. I am not finished with it but I will be done in about 2-3 weeks. Getting the barrel threaded for my suppressor and I am am almost done painting as soon as I catch up on a few others (weather permitting). |

The Terrell Rifle & Pistol Club also has monthly smallbore matches. You can get more info at: www.tr-pc.com/small_bore.php It's been a couple of years since I shot there, but they've always done a great job running the matches. |

I can bring up to three (3) guests with me to Dallas pistol club. The facilities offer a 0-100 yard silhouette range and a 10, 25, and 50 yard bulls-eye range. The silhouette range would be the best choice for this match but it is available at a first come, first serve basis so if it is already in use we would have to shoot at the same distance as the current users or wait for them to leave. The bullseye range is run like a standard pistol range with the first shooter arriving acting as the range office. This facility is located at the intersection of Beltline and Luna. There is no charge for guests but you will be required to sign a liability waiver before you can shoot. You will also have to stay with the group as guests are not aloud to wander the range with supervision from a member. It will only be required that you chip in some money to pay for targets if at all. I was going to but I ended up driving out to his place on Tuesday and buying a lease membership. I am going to be out on the lease on the 12th for the 1st time. I hope it is as good as everyone says it is. |
