How do these AR Build Parties get started? I am overseas and want to get together and meet some of the DFW crew and put together a couple rifles that I am ordering parts for. Plenty of time till April but is there anyone else doing a build around that month also? |
That should give me plenty of time to finish my current build and pick up a stripped receiver for an April Build Party  Hopefully this next one will be a SPR type! |

Planning on doing another 16" also. I should post my list of parts for the SPR to get opinions on my choices. I need to get a good FFL who will accept a few lowers for me and hold them till I can do the transfer in person. Looking at some POF 415s would like to get three of them but may start with two this time around. |

Whats your location? Isn't it south DFW, or out east? I'd be interested in attending. I'm wanting to put an upper together, but don't have a vice or an armorers block and or any other necessary tools here. Thinking about something like the LaRue Stealth... not 100% yet. |
WoW, Sure would be nice to get an LWOP and make it to put my stuff together this build party. Don't think that will be a wise descision, besides I need Denny's to open so I can drop some hard earned money tomorrow. Buying two builds less lowers, a SPR and a 16". I didn't think that a build party would go together that fast, I will have to keep the board up to date when it is closer to me getting home in April. Hope you guys have a good time. | Well lets postpone it for a while then. I have an AR10 barrel I need to get threaded for a supressor, when it comes back, I will be ready to assemble it.... that should be a good starter. I'll post back when it gets finished.... see where people are at. If anyone wants to build theirs before then, and would like some help, just shoot me an IM. |
