Today one of my former co-workers was killed in the line of duty in Huntsville. During a prison escape she was taken from us. Please keep her, her family and the other officer in your prayers. It is truly a sad day for us all. God Bless Texas Department of Criminal Justice and ESPECIALLY its officers who protect us daily.

the death penalty is applicable because they were incarcerated for murder and committed murder while locked up. secondly, they committed murder while committing another felony, escape, so again the death penalty is applicable. i cannot believe that the press release said they haven't decided to charge them with murder. their actions knowingly and intentionally caused the death of another, THAT is murder, period. God be with you Officer Canfield.
