| Okay , I need to ask all of you a favor. My oldest son James had to go to the ER with Valley Fever..I had never heard of it , so I had to look it up. Basically he has a fungus that has formed in his lungs.. It is common in the dry climates of the Southwest and Mexico. It was first thought he had an infection in the lining around the lungs but this came up this morning and he had to go to the ER. Please pray for him and a quick recovery..I know that alot of you have no idea who I am but i am a firm believer that prayer does work and that is why I ask this favor of you..Thank You all..Glen F. | If they have caught it early enough , very good. anti bacterial and anti fungal meds work well, if not, not as promising from what I can find out..Oxygen flow can get restricted and have been known to have to scrape the fungus out of the lungs also..Plus, he is in Phoenix and I am here in Texas, so dear old Dad is stressing..Waiting on more news from hospital...Thank You for the concern and paryers.It does mean alot to my son and myself...Glen |
Thank you..He turned 27 in April...I raised him with brother and sister after their mother left when my daughter was 3 months old..He was almost 9 at the time..He is my First and named after my father that I lost when I was only 9 years old.Again, Thank You Glen |
Thank You... Got a call this morning about his status.. He is resting and they are getting the pain under control..They started "dry breathing treatments" today as well as aggressively attacting the fungal infection...Thank You all for the thoughts and prayer, i know they will be answered..Again, Thank You ...Glen |

Rem, He has been in there several days and he is responding well.. The breathing treatments are working, still short of breath but he at least sounds like himself..I spoke to him last night for a short time and he sounds better. Thanks for the prayers and I had never heard of this until he got it..Yes, his age is a huge factor and I know that because of all the prayers sent and the doctors getting the guidence they need, he will be okay...Again Thanks Glen/Pike |
