| Pending more information regarding the corporate position in Austin, but what can everyone here tell me about the place? I haven't been there in forever and that was mostly just the college parties and just passing through. I have gotten the inclination that they're not terribly firearms friendly though. How about the housing there and in the surrounding areas? If the position is at least 25% more than what I make now in the DFW area, I will consider moving. |

Travis county Sheriff is class 3 friendly. Williamson is not. Austin DA is not, but with the new state laws in effect it's not much of an issue any longer. Austin is a mix of country and big city. Has lots of good things, not so many bad things. Just depends on how you look at it. It's more like Ft Worth than Dallas, but with Hills n hippies . |
