Hey guys ... I am in the market for a Bulled Upper, and I was wondering if any of you all had any thoughts on the Olympic Arms Uppers... I am looking at alot of different ones, but the O A has cought my eye...
It will be used for a nice little 300yrd plinker. So I was wondering if I should go with 20 or 24 Inch Barrel?

Any thoughts on the Matter will be helpful.

Thank you for your Time

Ditto that. We have RRA varmint uppers and will be at the Rodeo show in Mesquite this weekend and George R. Brown in Houston next weekend.

I have an RRA 20" Varmint. Does just fine. I believe RRA uses Wilson barrels. I think Shaw also makes Bull barrels.

I suggest 20 -24".  RRA has a 24" with a 1:12 twist but I believe that is for a heavier grain bullet such as 80gr... a special load. Match grade ammo should give you the accuracy at 300m.

I will second that the RRA varmint bull barrel uppers are pretty outstanding.

However... in general I dont like Olympic Arms equipment - but their stainless ultra-match barrels have an outstanding reputation, and mine was a TACK driver.  I would absolutely get their 1:8 twist, however.

There are SOME things OA does fine, and possibly well.  The barrels FALARAK mentioned, and also the oddball niche market pistol and larger caliber rigs.
That's about it.  Expect problems getting an OA to work right if you push it.
