Ok guys, I know this group has connections all over the place so here it is.  Tiger Valley is in need of a good tractor.  Something in the 50 hp range.  I would like to spend less then $8000.00 on it.  More then that and I might as well look into new ones.  Anyone see anything let me know the grass is growing fast and we spend more time working on the 9N we have then mowing with it.  Thanks T.J.

While it might not be popular you might look into these. tractors.en.ecplaza.net/catalog.asp?DirectoryID=37612&CatalogID=340586

I have seen these go for $9000 or so with 4 wheel drive, a front end loader, and a 5ft brush hog mower. There is a guy in Fannin county south of Bonham selling these and he said so far they have never had one come back for service. He was also selling one  or two other brands that are imported from China also.

They are pretty good looking tractors but that is about all I know of them.

thanks I have looked at these and didn't know where they were from.  I can't throw rocks at where they are made, since the only tools I by are Dewalt which are made in China.

Have you tried the tractor auction at Nome?  I bought mine there.  I paid 5K for a 65 hp. Massey.  It worked fine for about 4 years, then I had the engine done.  That cost 2500.  Other than filters, that's it.

The name of the place is Horn Auction Company.

Those Mahindra rigs look nice (made in India).  These are the guys that made a good portion of the Willys Jeeps during WWII.

BTW.  Glad to see you with your own training facility TJ.  I haven't talked with you since a tactical carbine class out at Duhon's place.

Stay with a John Deere or a New Holland(CASE IH same company)l the other manufactures have been bought and sold so much it is a parts nightmare. I know this because I am a tractor mechanic.
The grey line of tractors which are all the spin offs from China and India and other third world countrys are good for the week end farmer and rancher.
Check your local dealers in Waco and other cities near you most of them have good trade ins.
I will keep an eye out for you down where I live for what you are looking for. I am just off Highway 6 in Navasota.

Are you located at the COUFAL-PRATER Dealership, or are you an independent?  I travel through Navasota all the time going to TX A&M (I work for the Entomology Department).

COUFAL-PRATER has improved the looks of that dealership.  I have thought about stopping and looking around.
