Does anyone know anyone in Waco who owns suppressors or mg's? I'm seriously thinking of getting a .22lr suppressor but have no idea if I can get the papers signed off on. I have heard rumours of Title 2 weapons in Waco. You can go to the Chief of Police or the Sheriff's dept, right? Which is preferable?

Also, I was talking to a friend & he asked what happens if you were pulled over for whatever reason, car searched & you've got legal Title 2 items with paper. Would the chance of the Officer knowing what he's looking at be good or would you be arrested then have to prove everything is legal?

Thanks!

You go to whomever OK signing the paper.

If the officer knows what he's doing (well-versed on the NFA laws) , then whatever happening will be less complicated.

Strikes me it's a LOT easier to start a trust. Then you don't need a LEO sign off.

Could someone please explain starting a Trust? I've never read anything about that. I do know about Corporation/LLC's not having to get a sign-off.

FWIW, one of the guys who works at the gun shop in Hewitt said the Waco chief won't sign. I don't know for sure since my permenant residence is actually a different county where the sheriff signed my form 1 for SBR and form 4 for suppressor.

ETA: Where do you shoot in waco?

Hewitt Guns is the place I bought my AR 3 years ago. Not sure I've been back since...

The place we shoot is kind of 'clandestine'. We think it's OK, definitely safe: no houses, no people, plenty of backstops... Can't take too much stuff for targets, just easy-to-carry junk & old record albums.
