| OK, I got it done on quiken. Now what exactly do I send to the ATF? Should I have allready added the suppressor that I am getting to the trust? I think I just send the 6 page declaration, but someone who knows please enlighten me. thanks |
- Form 4 in duplicate - Certification of Compliance with 18 U.S.C 922(g)(5)(B) - A copy (never the original!) of your declaration of trust. If you also signed and notarized a certification of trust, send a copy of that instead. - A $200 check.
It's up to you. I like to list the make, model and serial number in the property schedule. If you don't know the serial number you can include it later. |
Perfect! The examiner does not need to know all the specifics of your trust, only that you have that particular legal instrument. Send the certification of trust rather than the declaration. |
Quicken will print a certification of trust, and you go get that notarized. Its about half the length of the declaration and doesn't have all the information that the BATFE doesn't need. |

I just got my form 4 back on a Trust transfer yesterday. It was my first one. I set up a trust with Quicken just for NFA items and sent in the Decleration and the Certification just to be safe as I've read some examiners have kicked it back for not sending in the Decleration. This way the only things in the trust are items the ATF already knows about. I got mine approved in 45 days but it got kicked back for a problem unrelated to the trust paper work. |
Quicken WillMaker Plus 2007. |
