| Anyone seen the political ad for Kinky? "Texans need a new shepard". Is he trying to insinuate that we are sheep? What an AssHat. |
|
I've sat at the adjacent booth to him and his cronies a few times now (lucky me, apparently we like to eat in the same places), and just listening to the crap that comes out of his mouth in casual conversation is enough to make me hope that he never sees the inside of the governor's office. I think he's a smarmy, holier-than-thou dickhead who thinks his poo doesn't stink and that he's soooo much smarter than everyone else in the world. I also fail to see how he even feels qualified to hold office... Hell, might as well vote for Leslie... (to quote) why the hell not? Gimme a break. |
|
Qualified??? So I guess "qualified" is a person that does an internship with a politician throughout college, goes to work for a politician after college, then runs for a political position shortly after that?? That to me is not "qualified". How can a person like that accurately or even halfway come close to representing 'me' the average joe? Don't get me wrong, there is usually not one candidate that I fully agree with. I wish I could take a little from each of the three and make the ideal candidate. That's not the case so I would really like to shake things up this year. Instead of voting for the career politician who says all the right things, I'm voting for Kinky. He won't have the votes to win but I would like some one new who has never been a candidate and especially is not afraid to say/do things that might not get him/her elected/re-elected! |
Oh, okay. I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the TV. I saw Kinko with a bunch of sheep. At first i thought it was one of those cop undercover films that politicos realase to slam their opponents. |
I'm voting for Kinky... he's way cool, used to be in a band and sang songs that were mainstream counterculture, then he became a popular counterculture writer and was acclaimed by liberals. Now he is using that same sensibility as a politician and promises to shake things up. All his musician friends are getting out the vote for him. He smokes cigars, too. Why not Kinky? |
He was being sarcastic. Hell, I picked up on it, and I got off the short bus this morning. Yes, Kinky is anti-gun. Or at least he's not *pro* gun, which is enough for me. It tells me everything I need to know............. "How a politician stands on the Second Amendment tells you how he or she views you as an individual...as a trustworthy and productive citizen, or as part of an unruly crowd that needs to be lorded over, controlled, supervised, and taken care of." -- Fmr. State Rep. Suzanna Hupp (R) of Texas |
let's hope I dont do sarcasm well when it comes to a few things...firearm ownership being one of them.
|
Yes, sarcasm intended. NFW I would vote for the Kinkster. Just another "liberal intellectual". Never liked his music either. |
I totally agree, why put somebody in office who is going to not support or defend our constitutional rights. |
|
Kinky has no interest in being governor. He has a MAJOR interest in selling "Kinky for Governor" T-shirts to the moronic. Drive down Ben White by IH 35. You'll see his billboard. "Kinky for Governor World Headquarters and Store". Throw away your vote if you wish. You'll be secure in the knowledge you helped a hustler make a few more bucks. |
Well, I've got a sense of humor about everything, but if I ever had to have it surgically excised with regard to any one subject, that'd be the one. |
lol save me a seat on the short bus. NRA is backing Perry. the NRA irritates me sometimes, but they're the best thing we've got. |
In terms of pure, unbridled numbers, I'll agree. Or did you mean in addition to GOA and TSRA? |
It was sarcasm........guess it didnt work

If Texas ends up with a Dimocrat in the governors mansion, it'll be the fault of the "Vote for Kniky" crowd. Remember when Ross Perot suckered in just enough Republican voters to give the election to Komrade Klinton? Some of us learned our lesson then. But that was a while ago now and a lot of folks here aren't old enough to remember that mess. History always repeats itself. |
How? Ross Perot was at least able to passably qualify as a conservative. Not that he was more conservative than Bush...both were equally screwed up. Most of the people proclaiming their vote for Friedman are normally Democrat voters. Not all, mind, but most. |
Very simple, Perot took enough conservative votes away from Bush that Klinton won the election. |
I think Kinky is more likely to do for Perry what Perot did for Klinton. |
Dang , this guy is an anti gun ass hat. Dont vote for him. Oh I have a citabria 7kcab, he's prolabaly anti citabria too, that stupid ass. LOL |
Damn the tears. I am going to miss you Wayne. |
You ain't lyin', Keith.
There is a website called "On the Issues" which sprung up before the 2000 elections. • www.issues2000.org/ That said, the only gubernatorial candidate they have "on the issues" is Perry. Just this morning, I emailed Grandma's campaign to get her on the record, as well. Will share here and in a new thread as soon as I have a response. |

if you weren't
