I saw my first hummingbirds of the season today...they're back!

I had put out my feeders after Easter but I had no idea when they would be returning to the area, today was the day!

Coz, great minds think alike.

Maddog, the hummingbirds have been in Austin for about a month now.  We had one last year that would ALMOST land on the wife's hand.  Truely amazing little creatures.

I thought I'd seen one last week but today was the first that came to the feeder.  I'm just outside of Austin in the pine forests.

I seen a hummer this weekend while leaving arlington.  It had some stupid looking huge ass 26"chrome wheels with some summer performance rubberband street tires.  I thought to myself, "everything is bigger in texas but that doesnt mean its not gay as shit".   It was a really retarded hummer

I'm loving the thought of the Hummer owners paying $3.00 a gallon.  While I despise the thought of paying that much for my little pussy-assed 4-cylinder, I revel in the idea that a ton of posers bought up the H2's and now have to park them in the garage until they can afford the go-juice to take them out.  Kinda like the RUBs that trailer their bikes out to events to keep the mileage down... my $0.02

Interesting thread, went from birds, to BJs, then to gas guzzleing SUVs.

I can't wait till they get here.  I'm going to shoot them with a 400mm Canon 1DSMark II.

I get a kick out of seeing all the soccer moms driving a Hummer in the drop off lane at my kid's school. Yup, you sure need a Hummer for that and carpooling.

Who???

The birds.  He's gonna shoot the birds (hummingbirds, aka hummers).  The tech specs are for a camera, not a firearm, BTW.  IIRC, about a $3k-$6k camera.  Money better spent on a firearm (unless someone makes their living as a photog), if you ask me.  Just my opinion, though.
