at 25 yards where 1 inch equals MOA.

the only AK on earth (even though it's not completely an AK) that can come close to that is the SVD with specially rolled match ammo.  And I think then it's maybe 1 MOA.

VEPRs and Arsenal .223's are supposedly close to ARs in group sizes (so I've heard).

one of the members on here won a 3 gun matche with a VEPR.  must have sucked to have been one of the guys there with an AR.

i may be dumb,  but i ain't stupid.  dust cover mount has to be the single worst idea when it comes to mounting optics on an AK :o

I don't know what y'all's problem is; my AK's shoot 1/12 MOA at 400 yards all day long using open sights and Wolf ammo......of course, that would be a 1-shot "group".

On a more serious note, I do need to put some rounds through the Valmet .308 again one of these days to see what it can do.  Historically, it hasn't been particularly wonderful in terms of accuracy.  The 1986-vintage Brazilian mil-surp ammo that I have for it is considered "match-grade", right?
