Texas Forest Service says burn ban will likely extend thru April.

The current operational tempo is fully expected to extend through April. There is no extended
weather forecast that will support the current drought cycle from ending. All agencies are
expected to remain vigilant and prepared to respond as necessary.

What are you talking about a fire pit at Hunfarm....

I have never seen a fire pit at the farm.

At the Hun Farm, fire pit is not the problem. The potential problem is shooting across the field to 535 yards line where racing/running/driving to it might not be quick enough to put the fire out.

Yeah. Luckily those fields are almost barebones right now. The wheat is not in production. According to Ricky he did not plant any this year because ofthe drought.

Moving the targets a little closer (more in to the center of the field) should make it a non-issue.

Fields are hard as rock right now as well, no bogging down trying to get to any fires.

Now... the river might still be a problem, lots of dry brush and sage there as well. Anyone firing a 'cross-river' shot might be in danger of starting a fire.
