My fiancee works at Lockheed Martin in FW. Her team has adpoted a soldier and is putting together a care package to send him. His name is Nicholas, and he is with the 440th HHC out of Germany and is currently deployed to Iraq. There are only 8 people in her team and they are primarily sending food, snacks and games plus a new pair of boots; I thought I'd include whatever I could afford for his M4. He is in desperate need of cleaning supplies and "anything else I can think of." I've emailed him asking for some specifics. I've got a few magpuls, a couple of extra KAC panels and was planning on stopping by CTD to get some cleaning brushes, bore snakes, etc. My purpose of this post was to extend the opportunity to my fellow Texans that might be interested in helping out a few soldiers this Xmas with some much needed supplies. Any accessories that you may have laying around that you no longer need (extra rail panels, collapsible stock, magpuls, brushes, swabs, BUIS, whatever) and want to contribute, please let me know. We've got plenty of room in the box to ship anything we can round up. I'd love to send him an ACOG, just can't afford anything quite that expensive. You could also paypal a monetary that I will gladly put towards more supplies. PM or email me if you want to help out! |

IM sent with contact info. Here's a recent email I sent to the soldier and his reply... "Anything specific? Do you have a rail system? Do you need any Bronze cleaning brushes (5.56 and/or 9mm?), a bore snake, any particular lube,cleaning rod, patches, vertical forward grip, rail panels, magpuls,collapsible stock, etc??? " His reply, "out of everything you mentioned i have a collapsible but stock, pretty said huh." |
