From another thread in GD I thought of something.

Would a holder of a NON-Resident CCW from Florida, who happens to be a resident of TX, be able to legally carry in TX?

It seems they would as TX recognizes FL CCW.

To clarify.

A resident of TX obtains a License from FL That is a NON resident license.  Would it be legal to carry in Texas with only that and a TX DL?

I've had this question too as the FL permit has greater reciprocity and is less of a pain in the butt to get.  I plan on getting one for me and my wife when our current CHL's expire.

The way I understand it is, if you are a RESIDENT of TX you must have a permit from TX.
