| Has anybody checked out a place called The Hardware Store, Inc. in Austin? Their tag line is "The most politically incorrect hardware store in the nation". Besides being a Zanotti Armor safe and Glock dealer, their departments include appliance parts, electrical, housewares, lawn & garden, plumbing, welding supplies, clothing, AC filters, TrueValue paints, and videos, DVDs, and books by radio talk host Alex Jones. How odd! |

Yep, we used to live right around the corner. They are definitely friendlies to the cause. Alex Jones wasn't always as weird as he is now. I remember listening to him a few years ago and thinking he might actually have a point a couple of times (like when he deliberately got arrested for refusing to give his thumbprint for his driver's license). Lately though - whew, I think he's off his meds. |

You are right that Alex makes some GREAT logical points about the erosion of freedom and true democracy in our Republic, but then Alex goes and blows out any chance of stating the cause and swinging over the uninformed when he goes "L-O-U-D" instead of making the case based on his information. He just sounds and acts like a NUT which is NOT helpful to making the case for the cause of freedom. I agree that Alex is a bit "Out There" but then if he was back in the pack he'd be no better than the Austin Un-American Statesman. (B.T.W. shouldn't the Un-American change it's name to the "States-PERSON" to keep in their ultra P.C. mode???) BIGGER_HAMMER

I paid a visit to The Hardware Store today, and true to its namesake, it's primarily a hardware store. The owner Bob decided later to add various departments like clothing and firearms. Seems like a friendly bunch of folks. I got to see the insides of a Zanotti safes and Bob was very informative about them. I never did find the Alex Jones media section though. |
| I called over there last week and spoke to Bob about Zanotti safes. I'll be buying one from him very soon as this is the kind of folk I do business with. As we spoke he put an order form in an envelope and I received it the next day in DFW. He took 10 or 15 minutes to answer every one of my newb gunsafe questions as well as suggestions that I would not have thought of. I wish there were more folks like that out in the world. Bruce |

Talk about good folks. I ordered a safe today, but I couldn't decide on the 15-gun or 30-gun configuration becase I know I need the room for the BRD. I left instructions with Bob to order the 15-gun setup and hopefully have them ship me the 30-gun rack shelf. No later than five minutes of me leaving the store, I get a message on my cell from Bob that Mr. Zanotti himself will be sending me both the 15- and 30-gun rack shelves with the safe. Good folks! |
