I was at Cheaper than Dirt today and I saw about 30 cases of the Lake City 62gr cases (1000rds) on sale at $160(ish) each. you can't miss it, as you walk in it is piled up in the center of the floor.

The boxes say "for training use only"  I am assuming that this is the XM855PD ammo.

Just wanted to share the info...

PD is reputed to be inferior ammo.  It does not mean 'Police Department'.  

Several KABOOMS' traced to it.  Weak brass, production fault.  

Several users have referred to it as 'Pure Dog****'

yup, I remembered all the threads on it. I left the store with a case of Wolf instead.

one of the clerks tried to push me to buy it though, kept telling me about the great price.
