| whats up yall, im danny im 17 ill be 18 in june, I went to the gun show at the reliant center, and i bought a bushmaster ar15 and sold my mac90 in the end i only paided 400$ for the ar15. rifle was marked down from 850 to 650. anyway anyone have any idea what kind of scope i should put on my AR15 for 200+ yards, I live in League city about 3 minutes off hwy 3 if that and i shoot at A&R Gun Range ran by Al Trug, anyone know any other ranges around this area. |

Welcome aboard! Congrats on your new Bushmaster. I'd sight it in with the iron sights and stick with that if you're shooting 300yds or less. I'm sure someone could recommend a scope, I don't know that much about what is good. I live way North of where you are. Don't know any ranges or other places to shoot in your area.  TC |

heh cool thanks guys and girls, if anyone from houston or this area tried to go down nasa road 1 today and was detoured, its cause the pipeline contracting company and a 3rd party drilling company drilled into a 2'' PVC Gas line owned by Center Point Energy, drillers also drilled in to a 12'' water line on the same road so i told my boss might as well just hit every other pipeline in the right of way.. not my companys fault drillers punched up 100feet short and our lawyers have deeper pockets so to speak. =p no one was injured, and thats my day of work in few words. also im looking to buy a 100 round drum for my AR anyone know a website that sells them? id much appreciate it, thanks again=] |

What nationwide is trying to say is that "clip" is the wrong term if you're describing the detachable box magazine that you insert into the rifle. Say "magazine" or you might end up regretting it... And it sounds like that might be a shotty magazine you got there. Maybe you should invest in some USGI mags, you can find some pretty decent deals on them. Or, if you feel you can spare the dough... there's something to say about HK AR mags... |

Rotty99 I live just across Clear Lake from you. As far as places to shoot around here, there is the place in Leauge City and the Texas City Municipal Gun Range. There is also the place in Pearland if you can afford a membership there. I don't shoot enough to justify the expense. I got to the TCMGR when ever I want to go shooting. It is a 100YD range and for me that's far enough shooting with iron sights. The people who run it are pretty nice and I have never had a problems with them at all. They always seem greatful that I choose to go there to shoot. Plus it is only $8.00 to shoot all day if I wanted to. I have never been/won't go to the place in Leauge City. I have herd bad things about the owners of that place from LEO's who live locally along with regular people. some might say that the place in TC is not much better than the one in LC, but I don't go there to do anything but shoot so I dont care about much else as long as the people who run the place are nice and It don't cost much. | yeah al is a hardass but the ladies who work with him try and keep him in the classroom teaching CHL classes i spent about 40$ there and got 5 boxes of ammo and paid for me an my dad to shoot, their kinda weird over there but like you i only go their to shoot, ill check out the one in TX City, thanks |
