Is anyone interested in doing one of these?

Shoot the shit, talk about survival stuff, those with knowledge teach others. etc.

I'm not one for taking the lead and plannin, plus my work schedule is very unpredictable.

Isn't Sam Houston Nat'l Forest kinda central to most folks?  Plus they're CHL friendly.

Just curious now that it's a little cooler...

I hate to tell you, but the SHNF does not allowed target shooting from early January through the end of October.

Probably gonna have to be on private land.

Hmmm...did someone say something about the Hun Farm?  HAHA!

I'm trying to choose my words carefully - to get my exact point across.

When I go out in the woods - camping, hiking etc.  I like to GO.

I can't sit for very long - I gotta move.

So I guess we could go there, have the BS sessions, share knowledge, etc.  But at some point, I gotta GO.  I can't sit forever.  "I'm going for a hike - anybody going?" kind of a deal.

I wouldn't feel right going to the Hun's, sitting around for a bit, then disappearing for a coupla hours - or maybe for the night.

"Hey, where'd Backstop go?"  "Who knows... the mofo just said 'Ill be back' and walked off."  "Been 12 hours now, right?"

To me, that doesn't seem respectful.  More like down right rude.

I've adhered to social standards of conduct () at various other outings, and I turn into a grumpy, just leave me alone person.

Think I really am anti-social, to an extent.  Shrugs...

Jeez...does that even make sense?

Go to the Hun Farm and take a hike. Everyone else does. Just don't go west, that is downrange...Most likely, someone will go hiking with you. It's all about the fun.. fullclip

I went for several hikes this past weekend at the Hun Farm, some by myself, some with others tagging along.  I think we all had fun.

No, you don't want to go to the hun farm.  Picture the most undesireable place you could be.  That's the Hun Farm.

No cattle to watch graze.  No flocks of 40+ turkeys... No hogs whatsoever... No deer... Certainly no rabbits, cotton tail or jack... No coyotes waking you up at night cuz they are so loud or so close...

No rolling hills... no mesquite thickets... no scenic river views... no gigantic grass fires across the river...

It's generally a place you don't want to go.  Nope.  Wouldn't reccomend it to my enemies.

Not ever.

Didn't know I was your enemy.

We can work on that...

HAHA!

OK, I'm gonna try and make the next shindig.

Yeah, I'll bring some beer.  All I can afford is Schlitz, though.
