Welcome! Us "old timers" are happy you have decided to join us. We hope you have a great time! Here are a few tips to make your stay a pleasant get away from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan area and the liberal pillow biting morons you are forced to share your oxygen with. 1. Bring a chair. If you don't bring a chair, don't sit in MY chair. I did not go to the trouble of hauling MY chair 400 miles for you to park your butt in it. If you forget your chair, the Super Wal-Mart in Vernon has a nice selection of chairs to choose from. Shoot my gun, eat my food, drink my beer, but stay the HELL out of my chair. ![]() 2. Pick up your trash! Haul your trash out with you when you leave. That includes your shot up propane tanks. 3. Don't confuse the trash pit with the fire pit. PLEASE don't put trash of ANY kind in the fire pit. We didn't dig that big hole in the hard rocky ground and line it with 2 tons of limestone so you could put your trash in it. ![]() Looking forward to seeing each of you there! |
If I may add one, "What happens and is said at the farm, STAYS AT THE FARM"... |
|
Good suggestions... I won't be up there this time... but I'd say... don't forget... toilet paper! You can eat my food and drink my beer, but don't wipe your ass with my paper! Well, with someone else's paper, since I won't be in attendance. I'd just plan on taking everything you'd take on a camping trip, and you should be OK. Hopefully I'll get up there in the spring, when I have all my vacation. ;) |

You can always haul the trailer to the Copper Breaks State Park across the river. Just a little unhandy at night, but you will still be there for the fun.. Just a thought.. fullclip |
BINGO! That is on heck of a backup plan. MrsGloftoe, check your IM. |
There are some steel targets we set out at 300 and 600 yds. We do not have target stands for paper targets, but donations are always welcome. Feel free to bring what you like to shoot at EXCEPT GLASS! Bowling pins are great. Stop by your local bowling alley and see if they have any pins they are throwing away. Tannerite is always a blast . There is a clay pigeon trap for use if that is your thing. Shooting clays over the Pease River is a good time. There is enough space out there to shoot thrown clays with a centerfire rifle...No Glass Targets!!!!

That is a very good option. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get from the Farm to the State Park. I have been watching the weather as well, since I am really hoping to drive my car, not my pickup, to the Farm. The weather reports have seen to be for rain on Thursday, and only a slight chance again until Sunday. TRG |
That might be just the ticket! I think we'll make that our backup plan, and if I can beat this silly cold into submission by the weekend we'll head up. Thanks for the idea! |

Whoa! DF muscling in on Glof's lady? What's the world coming to...... |
A few hot toddies or a couple of spiced rums and the cold will be gone. |
Well, if you two spend all weekend laughing like school girls and running back and forth across the Pease River, we all know why... TRG |
We stayed in the park the last time to Hun's with the trailer and it was fantastik |
I can think of one thing at least... TRG |
My daughter has one. I'll bring it along if I can find it. |
Only one??? Geez, you're slacking |

Haul your trash out with you when you leave. That includes your shot up propane tanks.

It's not the chairs. It's my fat @$$ that boggs down my little truck.
