hey guys, moving into my Spartanburg home august 2nd... I am going to the DMV and switching all my license stuff the next day, how long till I become a resident and can purchase a hand gun? also, any of you local that will show me around to the local ranges? thanks!

| Once you actually in live SC and have a valid SC drivers license you can buy a pistol. I was in 10th Mountain Div when it first reactivated. The gun laws here are nothing like NY. You don't have to register pistols, you can do FTF sells. You can carry a loaded pistol in your car (glove box, console) without a carry permit. These are just a few of the differences. There is a private gun club with ranges just south of Spartanburg and a free public range about 20 miles further south in Union. |
