Just wanted to update anyone in the Pee Dee that the gun shop across from the Darlington Raceway has a few 1 lb bottles of powder in stock.
Several cans of IMR 4895, 4198, 4227, and 4828? Unfortunately, they are not cheap at $30, but I know some of you use/need those, especially the 4895 and 4227. They also had some Speer .40 HP($30) bullets and some 9mm HP($22?), but as you see, they aren't cheap by any means. It seems that everyone is about this price now so I don't know if this is the new normal or if a gorilla is raping us. |

That's on the "never visit again" along with Jim's Gun Shop and Tony's Guns and Police Supplies. |

I didn't say it was a deal, I just said that it was there. I like stopping by their store when I am in town. For some reason, they treat me friendly enough. I have never bought a gun there either, though.
My last trip to PSA Farrow led to a conversation with the manager. Basically, he told me that for some IMR I looked at was not even available to them for the price I paid for it from PSA back in December. Every body gets to charge more, except me. I want to be the gorilla every now and then just so I can keep my head above water!! |

I think I've noticed the sign on the by-pass near the base. What about Southland Gun Works made you never visit there? I've never really had any issues with them. They had 1k bricks of large rifle primers for cheaper than anyone else for 60miles just a few weeks ago. |

Tony's is crazy high, but I like Bill(if he is still there). Jim's is as well, but he usually has some old beater and surplus guns.
There were a whole bunch of primers in Darlington, but they were about $35-40+ for a brick. I don't have a problem with Darlington. They have always been friendly. I try to buy something every time I stop by there, whether it is powder or brass. I usually pick up some free booklets as well. I really like PSA and wish I could get by PSA more often, but I just don't get that way much. |
