Will SC and GA ever share reciprocity ? New Hampshire wants 100 bucks to renew out of state CCW. |

GA will have to have some sort of training program / certification before SC will consider recognizing GA, and GA won't recognize an SC permit purely out of spite, just my opinion. This is the truth. There is absolutely no reason for GA not to recognize the SC CWP, other than to poke SC in the eye. GA is not SC friendly going back many years and issues, including several bitter court disputes on borders, waterways, etc.. |

Have you looked into a Utah non-resident permit? Several of my friends have it. One of them has family in GA and travels there regularly. A couple operations in the CHarleston area have classes for it. Look around in your area. Lexington Firearms does the Utah one as well. |

How much is the class and any other costs? Quoted:

Utah is the cheapest at 51$. I believe florida is 115/120$ still. You can take the utah class at d&r gun smithing How much is the class and any other costs? Beats me what the average person would pay for a utah class. Its four hours i believe i paid 35$ Class, passport photo at walgreens, prints were free, 51$ to the state of utah. I believe currently utah and sc combined gives you 35 or 38 states. |

So that is $86, I'd rather spend $100.00 on NH and not have to sit through class plus time and gas driving to the class and back - but that's just me. |

Brohawk,
In order to get a UT carry permit, you MUST have a SC CWP. I believe that you have to submit a copy of your permit with your UT application. Funny how my gf just got a utah with out a sc permit and i have a utah permit and did not send anything related to an sc permit. So that site is wrong.
Skip crap website and go to the source. http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/concealedfirearms.html And on that page 53-5-704 refers to sending a copy of your permit if your in a state that has reciprocity with utah. Being south carolina we dont recognize theirs so they dont require a copy of ours. |
