This is something that needs to be added to common core. How many rounds in a standard cap rifle mag? How many groups of five rounds is that? How many mags do you need to load for a pancake? How many rounds of .300 WM should it take to drop an elk at 418 yards?

I see test scores going up in many house holds around here!

Well, we could have had more fun pictures of shooting to post last night, but SOMEONE(we arent saying who) got "wifed/womaned" yesterday.

My son saw a video online on how to make a mini forge.  He built this Sat, and we played around with it yesterday a bit.  Melting aluminum cans is fun.

Spent most of my afternoon Saturday exploring trails in Oregon Basin just outside Cody.  Brought a new 686+ out to test fire as well.

Dog walk today with my buddy Cain.  Only 5 miles from town, but feels so remote.

I had to avoid some others out for a beautiful Sat.  I wanted to make suee i want in their line of fire, as i figured they were out shooting.  I drove another mile down the road, then turned off to hike down the canyon.  I watched the group pack up and drive away, but didn't see them turn and follow the road  and trail I hiked on.  On the way back, Cain and I popped up right near them, as they were getting out of their trucks.  They didn't see us till we were pretty close then there was this look as I waved.  ......

I was in camo, chest rig, battle belt, compact AR, and of course...  Cain.

I just waved and kept hiking out.

Thunder Basin National Grasslands a couple weekends ago. Huge remote country. Look forward to going back. This was just a quick scouting trip to look around. Could spend a month. Easy.

Best Vacation I've ever had was out near Yellowstone And the tetons. Such a beautiful area with a ton to do and a free state. 10 days was not even close to enough to do or see everything we wanted to see. We have even talked about moving there before the boy starts school. Have and keeping my figures crosses

Funny how talking guns can sound so dirty haha had a conversation like this at work about a buddies AI bolt gun... Our boss came around the corner and was like is this a appropriate conversation for the work office? And we laughed and explained we were talking about his gun? That really confused the shit out of him it was prett funny...

Well guns762 and I made it out in the hills this morning. Had to get up and head out before 6am and had a blast.. Played a mad game of gun pig....Us vs clay pigeons form 0-400ish yards... One would call a shot, call the position, and add any amount of extra to it to add difficulty. Other guy would take the shot, if he missed first guy had to make the shot to give his buddy a letter... Made for some awesome shooting and some challenging range and wind calls...
Pretty much fing awesome...

Love this gun!

Little .22 action and a Wyoming patch whoot whoot

A tango down range

We are on the ridge in the distance this is a shot from the clays view

Taking shots from rock cover was pretty interesting

A little low profile shooting

These photos don't show the crazy notches and rocks we were shooting threw.... Height over bore was a interesting twist..

New Aug set up love it

One of my favorite shots of the day.... Guns was just smoking some longe range clays it was nuts... It's like he couldn't miss...

And this is one of me testing out out tactical operators camo...

And guns sporting the new summer line for 2016

It was a epic day! Everyone get out and get shooting whoot whoot!!!

It was a fun morning.......and no cell phone calls from wives wanting us to come home early.

It was also fantastic practice.  Man, the wind sucked, always pushing you when you were already in an unstable position.  We laughed at our shots that had to be taken off the wobble.    It made you feel pretty good to connect with a 3.5" tsrget, off a wobble,  with an unstable stance or rest at 250m.  Some of our toughest shots were only at 100m, but with a miniscule amount of clearance from foreground.  Just great fun and challenging.

This position here......fucked up.  Every shot you needed to check your thigh and balls and make sure everything was still attached.  The muzzle blast on your torso was unnerving......thanks Sparks.

It was also, not stable, or easy, even though it looks that way.

Yep hands down the hardest shot, no cheek weld, stock wasn't even In shoulder, minimal scope alignment... Still do able, adjust, breath and fire... I couldn't even pull my Tavors trigger properly with my wrist contorted I used my middle finger and trigger finger to pull the shot...
