How much snow did everyone get out of this last storm? I think we got a good 6+ inches at the house.

About 2"=3"

six inches on top of the foot that was already there

8" on top of the 16" left from the previous melt and settling, then that settled and melted a bit.  Warming up with rain tomorrow.

Got over a foot on top of the 2 feet I already had, my truck is stuck and I can't get the damn plow truck started!

About 18" out of that one. There was still a foot to two before that.  I have run out of places to push it.  The county came down our road the other day with a grader to push the snow piles further back off the road, which was an excellent idea. The wild temperature swings is something else. I watched it yesterday go from -12 and up to 18 in about 2 hours, before the sun even came up. This morning it is 36 out at 0600.

What really scares me is the rain coming and then making a really bad mess of ice for the roads.

Cope must be stuck in a drift up there.  Heard that area got pummeled.

A couple more inches of wet heavy stuff this morning. Warming up and they're calling for freezing rain then rain tomorrow.

But it looks like next week will be dry & mild.

Tuesday morning it was -12 here.  Warmed up already today to near 50, high winds, etc..  My driveway looks like an ice sheet!  I imagine the road out is bad enough for chains.

I shoveled 3ish inches this morning. Temps hit 50 or so and it melted off the concrete. I went out and chipped some ice and compacted snow to help it melt away.

What's the total for Billings so far? Close to 40"?

Just 2 or 3 inches.  I weighed the snow on the garage a couple days ago, and I was at about 16 psf.   Now we have a bit of rain falling on damp snow.

Good question I am not sure. I know we have gotten more snow than usual.

Not sure about Billings, but SNOWTEL water equivalent shows 110 to 129 percent of average for down there.  We finally are back to normal, as we were in the 70's.  Of course now it is all melting, way too fast, and too early.

I see they issued a statement for Helena and area for emergency travel only this morning due to the very icy roads.

Friends and relatives had 5-6 feet of snow around East Glacier and Eureka/Trego.

Red lodge needs snow. Went skiing today and they're hurting it seems.

I'm up in Trego and got 32" over 4 days on top of the 18" we already had. Plowed 7-8 hours a day for 4 days. I love snow, but I'm getting tired of plowing.

I can certainly agree with that!  I have not been able to get out for almost a week now and I am 15 miles west of Kalispell, I have been slowly using a come along hand winch to get the truck unstuck, but as crippled up as I am, it is a slow process.

Glad we keep a lot of food around, works out good for this type of situation, but I will be out of beer today, so got to do something drastic!

I could be persuaded to make a beer / food run for you, just let me know.

I've got chains.

Thanks Bud,

Ended up borrowing a car from a friend yesterday, that lives a couple of miles from me and got things taken care of.

My wife asked me when I got back...............

"Now tell me why we sold that snowmobile!"

96-97 is in my dreams every single night, have not seen this for 20 years now, so it is interesting, I was a lot younger back then!

Just shoveled 3+ feet off the roof this past weekend.

For the 2+ feet I had on the ground here early last week, the warm up has really taken a toll on it.  I am looking at a LOT of dirt now..
