Will be heading up that way the third week of March to see my mothers side of the family, mainly Miles City and up around Fort Peck. Would love to live there but wife can't stand the cold. Any good gun shops or related place to go?
Thanks

Sorry, txgringo, but overall your SOL.  There is Red Rock Sports in Miles City, but its not that great.  You can try and get in touch with Sage Flats Shooters in Jordan, but they don't have a gun shop.  The do custom rifles and a PRS style match in June.  Other than that I can't think of anyone.  Maybe someone else knows of something.

Yeah I was gonna say I dont think there is a good gun shop over there but I really dont know that area too well. If you made it a few hours west Billings has some good ones to visit.

Not much going on over in that area, Miles City is pretty quiet.  I have hunted over that way and if you don't bring it, it can be tough to find a beer after 6 at night.

ok thanks I was up in 2010 not much then either. I did go to the Range Riders Museum it is a great place to go if you like old west guns and things. Most likely I will go out to uncles ranch in Cohagen and do some shooting if he don't mind.

Again Thanks!

If you're coming/going via I-90 and have the time consider a side trip to Cody, WY to the Buffalo Bill, etc. museums there.

The Buffalo Bill museum is well worth the trip, I could stay in that place for days!  Also, if you are on I90 dropping down to the Little Big Horn is a neat experience, I enjoyed my time there as well
