Saw on Fox news its supposed to be 10 degrees in Billings
75 here today, weird. |
|
Supposed to be -7* Tuesday night. Got a number of things prepped today; last of the garden dug up, last of the wood split, wood fired hot tub cleaned, rain water collection drained, etc. Tomorrow I'm winterizing the motorcycles, changing all the fluids in the ATV/snowplow, and getting the heated chicken waterer ready.
Brace for impact. |

Our 5'x3' warms up about 20-25*/hr. Most of the time the tap water is somewhere in the mid 50*'s. Ideal temp is about 104*. So, in about two hours we can be soaking. In the dead of winter it might loose 15-20* overnight. In other words, about an hour to heat. We use it year round. It's probably the best investment we've ever made. A propane weed burner is the best starter. Chlorine or bromine are your friends. Snorkel tub

Snowing here in Helena tonight. Got the oil changed on my last pickup today (daily driver, did my F350 beater a few weeks ago) and winterized the mower and the wifey's dirt bikes today. It was raining and wasn't fun but got it done. Had to get it done as I have to go in for inguinal hernia repair surgery tomorrow. Winter is here!

Storm blew in good here. Ice and about 4" of snow so far. Freak series of events trying to beat the storm home yesterday had me hit a nice 3pt square dead on with the truck. Luckily due to the height, the front bumper took the impact. Lucky hit. With the roads the way they were I figured an evade would have been worse. So, a new bumper here at some point. Bracing for impact of the 11 below they are saying for Tuesday night. Stay warm out there folks!! -Corn |

Pass the ARFcom please. |
