Who do we like? Especially for second amendment issues? I'll admit I've been paying too much attention to national politics and forgot we have a governor's race going on. Thoughts?

What's Vitter's platform... Edwards stood with Obama? Vitter is against Common Core, no wait he's for it? Vitter wants to implement the policy of drug testing welfare recipients because it worked so well in other states that tried it? Ooh, maybe he wants to legalize prostitution so the strip clubs recently closed in New Orleans can reopen and have their liquor licenses reinstated... Please, Diaper Dave, tell me all about family values because I REALLY want to hear it from YOU.  Sadly, this is yet another one of those situations where I would rather have two more choices... I never thought I would turn into a cynical bastard who loathed voting, but thanks to the lovely candidate choices and smear campaigns in recent years, I have. FFS, Lafayette Parish didn't even get 50% voter turnout in the October 24th election and the City-Parish President was on the line. But I digress because as much as I loathe it, I still voted, therefore I retain my right to complain about it! |
