Looks like this Tea Party dude is taking 15% of the vote from The republican. Too bad, thought Louisiana wanted to get rid of Landrieu.

Considering none of the candidates are projected to win the 50% plus one vote to win the seat this election.... It's allowing conservatives to treat it as a primary. But I guess you already knew that. I for one think Maness would be better than voting in another RINO. But either Maness or Cassidy is better than Landrieu.

We have a run off if a candidate doesn't have more than 50% of the vote.  I don't think either Cassidy or Landrieu would receive 50% of the vote regardless of the participation of Maness.

Thats a big risk to take. So whose the best between the Libertarian and the Republican?

Both are republican. Cassidy is to the right of Landrieu but not by much and Maness is backed by the tea party. Both Maness and Cassidy are projected to beat Landrieu in a heads up race. So would you like a RINO, then vote Cassidy. If you want the budgets balanced, the constitution followed as well as the 2a protected vote Maness. Your call.

I'm voting for Maness tonight. Just seems right to vote with my beliefs instead of who I think will/could win...

Ditto.  Voted for Maness this morning.

Why do so many of y'all think Cassidy is not a full supporter and protector of the 2A? He has an A+ rating with the NRA. Doesn't that count for something? The majority of Republicans don't hold that high of a rating with the NRA

We'll handle LA, Texas. You hold up your end.

Maness is the only true conservative in the race, and already got my vote. There is no "split vote". We have to have a 50% +1 majority or we have a runoff in December. A vote for Maness does nothing to improve Landrieu's chances whatsoever.

Cassidy is just another RINO. If he makes it to the runoff, you can bet Maness voters will be voting Cassidy. However the hope is Maness and Landrieu square off in December.

Well said. I'm sure it will come down to a runoff. We can only hope it's Maness vs Landrieu and not Cassidy vs Landrieu, but Cassidy is definitely the lesser of the two evils.

Exactly what I've been saying. Either way we need to get out the vote in December for Cassidy or Maness. Landrieu can't be allowed to win another runoff election in Louisiana. I just hope it's Maness verse Landrieu.

My wife and I pulled the lever for Maness, so to speak, but we'll for sure be backing Cassidy in the run off.

We tried, and that is more than most commit to.   Will be showing up in Dec to push the button for Cassidy.

Yeah, I wish he would have got his name out there more.

It's a shame, but folks need to start campaigning for 2016/2018 now, then hit it hard again a few months before the election.

I hope you guys get rid of Landrieu…but good Lord, is it me or does Cassidy just look…odd?

FYI…I love Texas, but Louisiana will always be home.
