Recently moved to Lafayette for work and am looking for a shooting partner.
Where is a good place to go to sight in rifles, preferably an outdoor range that's not an hour from town? |

New Iberia Sheriff's range. Limited hours tho. They've added sunday hours too. 100 yard rifle, a couple pistol ranges, including one with steel plates to shoot. Only about 8 slots on the rifle range, but if you don't go right before/during hunting season, it usually isn't too bad. Free to use.
New Iberia Sheriffs Range My buddies dad works for the department, so we get a little more lee-way. And as mentioned, the Fusilier complex. 300 yard rifle with 24 or so lanes, 75 yard pistol, and a clays thrower. It's pretty close to an hour to get there from my house (in Lafayette). If work allows you to go shooting during the week, you may have the whole place to yourself. No ROs either. |
