The excitement level is just not there for MS teams. All the PC stuff. Yes I'm butt hurt over it. Was holding out hope then State goes PC.

Am I the only one?

What the hell is wrong with this state...MSSTATE has supported the changing of the state flags since 2001?  There are way to many "privileged" panties being twisted

Ole Miss was never my favorite, I always preferred State, but in the past would have pulled for them in a game like FSU. Not anymore.
That other school can go try and make love to a black bear hanging out with her cubs for all I care now. No Dixie, no love.

Especially when you consider the very heavy toll Ole Miss paid during the war, in blood.

For those who don't know, Google 11th Mississippi Infantry, a quick summary is that Companies A and B were comprised entirely of students and Professors from The University of Mississippi, nicknamed "The University Greys".  They mustered in at the Lafayette Courthouse(the one in the Square) in 1861.  They were marched to Corinth, trained and equipped, then sent to Harper's Ferry by rail to join the Army of Northern Virginia.  They served through several major battles including Both battles at Manassas, Sharpsburg, and the Peninsula Campaign(Gaines Farm, Seven Pines, Fair Oaks) while under the command of Stonewall Jackson.  The story ends for them at Gettysburg, where they took part in Pickett's Charge, sustaining 100% Casualties (every last one of them, officers included, were killed or wounded and captured).  The units colors are on display at the Museum of the Confederacy in Richmond, I've seen it myself.  The Cemetary they're trying to move right now contains soldiers who served in the unit, some of whom gave their lives on distant battlefields.

That said, Fuck Ole Miss and their PC pandering.

There was a time, you knew Ole Miss was playing. Cars with the window rebel flags flying everywhere you went. Still have mine.

Is the world/country/state any better because we don't have the Confederate Flag or Col Reb or the MS State Flag or the band playing Dixie at the games?

To all the PC crowd, from a proud Mississippian. You are free to leave, I'm sure you have neighbors that will help you pack.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that feels this way, OP.

Next up for Ole Miss: They do away with the names "Ole Miss" and Rebels".

Mark my words, it will never end until all references that existed before the Civil Rights Movement are expunged
