HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) -- Two police officers died after being shot after a routine traffic stop in the southern Mississippi city of Hattiesburg, prompting a statewide manhunt early Sunday for two suspects considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.

One of those officers just got out of the academy last year.

Yeah. Officer Tate graduated academy in 2014.
Officer Deen was officer of the year in 2012.

Both suspects had previous drug and weapons charges. Both suspects were convicted felons.

A third is now in custody for helping after the fact.

Won't surprise me if it later comes out they were radicalized. Won't be something in the main stream news.

The mayor has already stupidly tried to blame it on "liberal gun laws", nevermind that these 2 couldn't legally have guns because of felonies.
