Pretty good write up in the Daily Journal that I just ran across.  School us on the part towards the end, "Snowden and some other attorneys have said an armed civilian wrongly denied access to a courthouse may reverse the judicial restrictions by filing a writ of mandamus."  What is that in layman's terms?

Mandamus is an order from a court to do something. Essentially you would file a mandamus with the ms Supreme Court who could order the lower court to remove the order barring guns.

Would a person have to be arrested or merely denied entrance?

Honestly I don't think anyone would need to risk arrest, just be denied entrance. You could even schedule it ahead of time.

Gotcha. Thanks nolo.

I'm sure based on the article they have plenty that have been denied entrance.

I honestly have no reason to go in the building, I don't vote or buy car tags in MS.

But, hell, I've dealt with meaner people than the desk jockies at a courthouse in my life.
