I am an absentee voter, and I couldn't be happier with the election results! (district 1 notwithstanding)
I was honestly a little suprised Lepage pulled it off, from everything I have been hearing it sounded like the dems had a lot of momentum even with Cutler pulling some votes. The last two elections have given me some hope for the political future of Maine. |

Even more proud of my state. Glad to see that most people voted for a better state and not free stuff. If you want to see something interesting, check out Bangor Daily News' election results page and break down the results by county and town. I am proud of the results as well. My wife and I recently moved here from NY and wanted to do our part so we came out to vote Republican. It seems like a good percentage of our town voted for the Republican candidates so I am happy about that. |

Lepage never laid claim to be a smooth political sweet talker and enough voters realized that is a good thing. He gets things done, instead of blowing hot air how he will make everything better like Michaud did.
Pingree won but you can't have everything, I am very happy to be a Mainer Well done everyone! |

I am also pretty happy with the election results. Except that Misuik did not win over Pingree but she is the incumbent... People just vote for what they know.
I am even happier I do not have to listen to or watch those damn election ads for a couple years. Good grief... This is the first time I have voted in an election. In the past couple years I have seen things that directly affect me become an issue. And I have taken notice to how my rights are being eroded. I made it a point to vote and I am glad that others did as well and sent a clear message we do not like what is happening. |

Yes. Good job Mainers. Just get ready though because the out of state anti-bear hunt jerks-offs will be back again with another one, ...or so they say.
They will have a lots of money all ready to go and will probably not make as many miss-steps as they did this time. It will be a lot harder in a Presidential election year for us to stop them so we will need everyone we got this time plus a bunch more..... Join SAM. |

I think the bear referendum really helped LePage. The voter turnout was up most likely due to that and I'm sure LePage got alot of those votes. Otherwise some of those people may not have voted at all.
My town overall pretty much voted the exact opposite as I did, a sign of the transplants taking over. At one point LePage was shown on Ch 6 news as being behind and a comment was made that if Cutler didn't take 12% of the votes that LePage would lose. Well, Cutler didn't take those votes and LePage still won. He won 14 of the 16 counties ( only lost in Cumberland and Knox) and was in the lead the whole night. He also won some towns that he lost in last time around, and the towns he lost in last time that he lost in again this time, the margins of loss were way lower. The only time they were really nervous was just before the Portland results came in and they were pretty excited as the vote in Portland was closer than they figured it would be. That is a good sign for the state overall I think Chellie Pingree sux, but she's going to be hard to push aside, especially down here. |

With the exception of the representative being re-elected from the Northern Mass district, all went very well. I was very happy as well. I think Poliquin will stand to be a good 2nd Amendment guy, our gun rights are safe with Lapage in for another 4 years, we can still bear hunt and the Repubs. took the senate. Not bad at all. |

It makes it even better that the the libs hate him so much |

One of Lepage's most endearing qualities is his ability to give liberals massive migraines. They hate him so much it gives them psychosis,or more correctly, brings it out in the open for all to see.Its nice seeing it happen to them as opposed to watching their smug arrogance with the flagrant disregard for the rule of law and constitutional limitations of the liberal lefties they worship.
Its a good thing |
