lol I think the same but hell its worth a shot.... worst they can do is say no...again... with over a million gun owners in NJ alone, there is no way that this number should only be at 13,000... I think people just don't know about it.  There are so many of us, if we all get together it is hard to ignore a million people, a million VOTERS, I don't know what elected official can ignore a million potential votes....

I agree. I always fill them out whenever I see them. Can't roll over and play dead. Have to at least show them some push back.

And here in lies the problem. NJ Gun owners CAN'T get it together!!!!

Personally I've been on the forefront of fighting for NJ gun rights since 1973. We are so fragmented it's sad. I can remember in 1989 when Florio was pushing the NJAWB. I was naive thinking the same thing because I thought we were so united. NJ has tons of gun owners and we were NOT going to let this happen. We marched on Trenton with 10 times or more of the rally on this past Friday. We were so united as far as I was concerned that even the night before the vote I went to bed thinking it will NEVER pass!!

Sadly as we know it did and I began to search for reasons why. As a 26 year member of NJ largest gun club, CJRPC, I began to ask questions. What I found out changed my perspective on how the NJ gun owner reacts to his 2A rights.

I found out there are four main groups of gun owners. The hunters, the skeet shooters, the "black rifle" guys and the collectors. United? Nothing could be further then the truth.

The skeet shooters could care less about semi-auto rifles. The hunters as well as the collectors felt the same way and believe me I asked for their opinions as to why it passed. No unity what so ever. They all felt "protected" as the law would not effect them.

The bottom line was they couldn't grasp the "bottom line" as I saw it. The "bottom line" IMHO is making NJ a totally gun free State.

Why do I think that? Because of all the laws that "sailed" by since the NJAWB.

What am I talking about? Well lets start with the archaic NJAWB. No flashhiders, no bayonet lugs, no collapsible stocks and a restricted magazine capacity. Really? How do those restrictions reduce gun violence? First we could legally block a magazine , then we had to make them permanent with no official guidelines to do so no less! Pine and welded brake! Come on, how does that reduce crime with a firearm?

Next was the Smart Gun law which no pistol has ever been invented as yet. "One gun a month" law. Yeah, those will keep all the children safe.

Fast forward to the present. I can't count how many ridiculous pieces of legislation are on the block for next week!!

It's insane but if you realize what the big picture really is it makes total sense. NJ does NOT trust you with a firearm!!

The ultimate goal is a "Gun Free State". Just like ex-Governor John Corzine wanted!!

Lugerman is correct, but I must add more: People are in fact basically selfish. If something doesn't affect them directly, they don't care. Why? Because they are taught to not care, the benevolent government will take care of it. This all reinforced by the teachers (unions) and the curriculum, selected by the "Intelligentsia" who have a minimum of an MS/ MA and believes we are basically stupid and don't know any better. College Professors grade reward students that only regurgitate their opinion and basically "punish" the mavericks. America hasn't had to suffer with one mind set since WWII, and even then it was artificially held in place by the news media who Roosevelt threatened to "back" the war or else. You would think 911? Its cohesion dissipated pretty rapidly, ie., our Southern vs Yankee schism contributed to this and other regional differences throughout the US. Circuling back through these seemlingly disparate statements and looking at the overall weaving is why "we" are more "selfish" now then when Lugerman said 10x more gun advocates marched 40 years ago. The older greatest generation is almost gone, those who gave up on NJ moved to more "comfortable" states when they could. The rest of the population here drawn by welfare and ez tit flock to the slum and scum centers that vote in blocks carried their by their public figures, basically paid for their vote to ensure the momentum and recycling of the above.

After the Left/Libtardian ruin where they live, in their affluence move, ie, NJ/NJ to parts of PA and California to Colorado, which is looking at a "rush" up the middle this coming week to pass very strong anti-gun legislation there. These piece of shit help ruin where they live , move to where they feel safe and comfy and then populate and vote the same policies in that fucked up they where running from.

This rant is off.....
