how do you insert pictures You first upload your picture to a picture hosting service, like Photobucket (it's free). Then, when composing your post, you insert a picture using the "Insert Image" button... fourth from the right on the "Insert Tags:" list (looks like a picture of a mountain with the sun in the background). You then paste in the URL of the image, which you get from your Photobucket (or other) account - labeled "DirectLink" on Photobucket. Alternatively, if the picture is already out there on a web site somewhere (say, Google Images), you can just right-click the image, copy it's URL, and insert it using the Insert Image button. Or, you can just paste the URL directly into your message, and surround it with "img" tags. For example, here's a URL that points to a picture of a Barrett M82: [ img ]https://encrypted-tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT5i89q8hx400e83GyRrXmXM6Ty77ScyC_h31qgfsqCqUMvnlkM[ /img ] If I now remove the spaces from the tags (so that it reads 'bracket'img'bracket'), the picture displays: |
