Gents,
I was going to be in Jersey and want to go shoot with a friend. Is it OK to come in with a Glock 19 that has a threaded barrel? I would have 15 round mags with it. Thanks in advance! |

If you go directly to the shooting range, do your shooting, then immediately leave the state again, then yes. If you lock your unloaded pistol in your trunk, and go with your friend to grab dinner or something, and your firearm gets discovered, you'll do 5 years in prison. But, by your original statement, "I was going to be in NJ...", sounds like you'll be here for some other reason, and will probably go somewhere else first, before meeting your friend at the range. This is also illegal, as you are only permitted to transport a handgun "if going directly to or from a place of target practice", with "only deviations that are reasonably necessary under the circumstances". |
