Anyone know of any good gunsmiths in NJ that will permanently attach a muzzle brake to an AR? I'm in Monmouth County but wouldn't mind taking a drive if the work is worth it and the price is right. I'm thinking about getting an M16a1 pencil barrel and want a branson comp permanently attached to it. I'm gonna remove the bayonet lug myself, I did a decent job taking it off my carbine with a dremel tool |

+1 for Hemcon9. Does all my work. Great guy to work with Hemcon9 does awesome work and his prices are reasonable...He did my barrel. Indeed. He did a transfer for me recently for Red Jacket Polish UF. Took off bayo lug and refinished it, pinned slant brake and pinned the UF. Did awesome work. Also pinned 3 AR barrels and transfered other rifles. Great work, great guy, great prices. Highly recommended especially if you wanna order a non compliant rifle and have it made NJ Legal. |

Hm, its off topic but I wonder if he'd transfer a norinco 320 (uzi look-a-like, doesnt say UZI anywhere on it, has no bayo lug). I spoke to an FFL a few months ago who said he would, but that it had to be ban compliant when he received it, most of the ones I see on gunbroker come with a folding stock instead of the fixed wooden one. It would be so simple to remove the folder and replace it with a wooden stock but the FFL i talked to just didn't wanna mess with it. Does your guy cut down mags as well?? |
| He will pin whatever stock. Even if he hasnt dont a particular one he will figure it out. He lives in PA so he doesnt need it to be compliant when he receives it, only when he transfers it. Basically you order it, have it shipped to him and tell him what needs to do be done, he does the work and then calls you to let you know its finished and pick a day to transfer it. I also dont think he has ever cut mags, no harm in asking though |
