And for those of us who have benefited from rapid processing of FID Changes of Address and/or Pistol Permit Applications in their home municipalities, bend over, take a deep breath, and read this.

In Jersey City we just went from  a 5 Day turn around on Pistol Permits to 3 Weeks

I pick them up tomorrow and pick up the handguns tomorrow nite....There is also a 30 day, deny or approve clause in the law...it is always ignored by the .gov. Hey give me a 3 week permit, even one a month is doable,
Tell them to follow their on gun laws....they will hate that worth than the one a month

If your PD follows what the NJSP are telling them to do in those letters, you will see your permits in 6+ weeks.

The detective who handled my paperwork told me he has been averaging 2-3 week turn around times for the SBI 212A forms.

I'd be completely happy with 3 weeks. It took me more than a month last time I applied for one. It might have been more like 2 months.

Here is two of what I picked up, so far. A S&W 25-5 in .45 Colt, a Walther PPK in .380, the other guns are more collecter value.

THose are .45 colt cartridges, yes they are big, the bore is bigger than a .44 mag
