So I searched and didn't find anything about this...

This is all I had seen (from Facebook) when I initially began searching:

Haven't heard about it, but then these things often warrent little national air time and I do live the other end of the country.
That and I don't use facebook. I hope they get what's coming to them, to do this, unprovoked, to anyone is sick, doesn't matter about it being a race crime or not. We do have some Mancunians here somewhere. They may have seen more reports. |

Race related or not this Section 20 wounding and so will have to carry a prison sentence. Throw in racism as well and who ever did this is looking like a nice long spell in the big house.
Unfortunately, this sort of thing happens all the time. It's always several onto one or two; never one on one. |

It's well known in the UK politically correct climate that race crimes are only when white people attack people of a different race. I believe Labour passed this as a law. The worm turned and it's too late for us. I am going to continue watching 'Doomsday Preppers' http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/doomsday-preppers/ and head for the hills. Poconos probably, I know a good dinner there.

First I've heard of this incident as a Manchester area resident. Looks nasty and despite the PC nonsense it is sadly not uncommon.
I can't open the link to the MEN at the moment cos I'm not at my PC and the web speed is a bit naff where I am. Its taking ages to load any pages. I'll have a look later. |

If he was jumped and attacked from close quarters or from behind, as is normally the case in these things, then it could be that this is one of those occasions where his gun would have been used against him. Attacks like this happen more than the authorities will admit. The difference with this one is that the police are turning the usual race hate thing on it's head and using it equally. We don't hear about that often. I suspect that there will be quite a bit of outrage over this, and the Mail Online loves an outrage but it's noting new. Either way I hope the lad makes a full recovery. He'll get his day in court with the looks of it. |
