Very quiet on here today - are you all full of cake, hung over, or all watching
Dodgy old Christmas films ???

I went clay shooting today at the local range. Very quiet only a dozen people.
I realised I couldn't hit a barn door !!!  I think shooting steels with the M2 is now my bag.

What are you all doing ?

Fire was put out at 11.23, dockyard scaffolders had erected a working platform under the casing over the weekend, the platform on the Port side was erected over and touching the Diesel Generator Exhaust. DGs flashed up at 20:00 on Christmas Day to conduct a Normal, Discharge and Equaliser routine on the Main Battery; when running the DG Exhaust is water cooled by a continuous spray of Sea Water from the DGSW system. The DGs were shut down at 10:47 this morning; on shutdown the DGSW system also stops cooling the DG exhaust, 30 mins later the scaffolding deals caught fire. The Duty Watch put the fire out well before eight fire engines turned up, 6 from  Devon and Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and two from Cornwall, all left without getting dressed in BA but with a few mince pies and a tour of the boat. Just another day in Devonport  with Babcock Marine.
