I don't think many would have taken notce anyway.

I suspect FIFA have stepped down to save face though, and not out of respect for the fallen.

FIFA rank alongside the Olympic commitee for me....lower than shark shit.

Their self serving opinions mean nothing to the vast majority of people in the world.

What they dont seem to realise is that most people see the poppy as an act of remembrance for EVERY man and woman, REGARDLESS of Country who fell in all the wars. They were all victims, and remembered equally.

It once again enforces my opinion of what I really think about Football and those associated with it, especially at a time when you have the likes of the England captain being exposed as a racist bigot, open cheating, violence, last weeks spitting incident, countless run-ins with players and the law and the behaviour of those in the stands who think its perfectly acceptable to openly abuse the opposition at every opportunity for any reason.
Emmanuel Adebayor's surviving of the gun attack on the Toga team bus being one

Football itself should be banned

Don't get me going on football !!  Hardly role models for anything

At least, with a bit of a high level push they will have poppies.

Why don't customer facing staff, ie supermarkets wear poppies?
Bloody poor show - BBC set the standard others should follow.

I always prefered rugby preferably London Irish where you can sit next to opposition  supporters  ( unless its harlequins) and have a pint or two !
