I decided to replace my old laptop, it was second hand when I bought it in 2006 The other problem is the wireless on the new one is rubbish as it keeps losing the signal even when it's only a couple feet from the router, don't you hate technology sometimes? |

They are easy to take out and attach to another computer (ideally a desktop) then you should be able to get all back.... |

If the wireless is that bad it sounds like a hardware problem. Take it back to the shop. As for Office, ask your employee for the software and keys, if it was bough under their name then they should be able to find teh records for you. |

I've retired so technically no longer a part of the "home user programme" so that option is a no no. As I said I liked using Outlook instead of logging on to my ISP for each of my email accounts however I've found Mozilla Thunderbird as a (free) replacement for Outlook. Wireless working ok tonight so far. |
