I have just acquired an Anschutz 1813 and as you all know, I am eagerly awaiting an AR15. I would like to try different types of ammunition in the rifles in an attempt to ascertain which suits each rifle best. I am struggling to find a dealer that carries a decent choice of ammo. I've recently sold off my 1813 cos i dont use it any more, but i still have 1000 rounds of tenex, but i dont want to put it through my BAR .22 but i would do you a swap for 1000 rounds of cci minimag if your interested? would save you in the region of £80 for the 1000 i live in newbury area let me know hutch |

In fact I have several brands of .22 ammo I can throw in the hat for you to try, It's the least I can do after you turned your nose up at the Tenex for Minimag offer, which incidentally I have now bagsied

ROFL OK stop it  Yes, CCI Standards...I forgot to mention those. I can get CCI standards, Eley Subs and Winchester T22's from my shooting ground but not much (if anything) else. I don't expect to be "given" any ammo, I expect to purchase it and Mark, if you can supply some/all of those mentioned and it is not too much trouble dealing with piffling amounts of each (for now, once sorted I would be buying bigger quantities) I would take a box of each type and pay you for them. If your coming up to collect Bob I can get you some in ready. Just let me know. GMK are out of MiniMag Round Nose and that AR specific stuff, so I can't get those quickly. I have the Remington range in to try but have not shot any of it yet, maybe somebody else on here has? I'm sure Mark will be able to sort you out closer to home. ATB P |

They have no intentions of ordering it unless it is specifically asked for in a substantial quantity, and then it would be months away. As for Minimag....I have about 7k |

You need to learn how to put things in Quotations, makes your posts look a lot better. Some of the Remington rimfire stuff does not get particularly good press on the AR15.com Rimfire Forum, so if you are tempted just get 50 or 100 to try at a time, when you do find something that works well buy lots of it. I suspect the stuff Paul has in will be suitable though. |

Finding somewhere that stocks lots of different ammo isn't easy though and as you have to buy it "face to face" (are those quotations OK?) I'd rather try and source it from one or two places without having to travel all over the country picking a box here and a box there. Hence my starting this thread. For some reason I didn't think of the NSRA shop, that was a good suggestion as looking at their web site, they seem to have quite a collection, but still not everything I want. Hopefully between Mark, Paul and the NSRA shop, I'll get it sorted. All the best Bob |
