Following on from my breaker, breaker thread, here's the low down on my trip.

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm not heading down the Nile or following the Amazon,  I'm going ooop North.

Myself & 7 mates are driving from Whitby on the east coast to Seascale on the west.

There will be 2 Defender 90's (mine), 2 Defender 110's & a Disco 3.

The plan is we drive green lanes taking in the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales & Lake District, plus stopping at a few sights of interest ( pubs included).

We will be camping & also 'wild camping' will be on the cards.

So that's it, stunning scenery, company of good mates, fun green lane driving & no Royal Wedding bollocks to deal with, bring it on.

Andy.

Well we survived our expedition into the badlands.

Had a fantastic time & we were bloody lucky with the weather.

Truck was awesome on some very testing lanes, shame about the driver. Damage list is front mud flap ripped off, & a scratched tree slider, so all good.

I'll post some pics at the weekend, so all you Jap crap drivers can marvel at the Defenders awesomeness.

Mick deffo not in the Peak district, although the pic with the Disco going uphill, that lane is a mini Stanage Edge.

Tim draw a straight line from Whitby to Seascale & thats roughly were  we went.

John the guy who owns the Disco organised the trip & is a very experienced green laner, we were very impressed with it's off road capabilities, although he's obviously precious about damaging it.

The pic with the dutch 50th anniversary special edition V8 was a scary bit, that washout tips the front of the truck over towards the wall, you can tell by his expression.

not sure if they have a quick way to change the EGR 's but it took me two days , but i am sure i could do it in one now .

the v6 is smooth and pulls real nice , if i ever own one the first thing i will do is chop the inner wheel arch's out to make some room to work .
