It wouldn't surprise me if Iodine is discretely removed for a period of time. People are at far more risk from taking iodine "just in case" than they are from radiation at the moment.



As far as an "anti-radiation" measure goes, iodine isn't taken because it's good for the body; it's taken because it's worse than the alternative
